Making Waves at Fours Head 2019

We had four crews in action on Saturday for the Fullers Fours Head which included 2 Senior mens crews and 2 Senior womens crews. The stream was particularly strong in the lead up to the weekend with the PLA on yellow flags. This caused the organising committee to act cautiously and scratch some 60+ crews including one of our own. On the day, the conditions were favorable to some fast racing and top quality finishes.

Going off at No7 in the band 1 mens quads, from bow, Jamie Diserens, John Hickling, Sam Diserens and Salvetore Chiocca. They conquered the championship course in 19:47 finishing 82nd overall.

At no.116, the senior womens coxless four comprised of (from bow) Joely Dicks, Kat Bevan, Aba Carboo & Kathryn Lewis finished a solid 5th in the band 1 women's coxless fours. Their time was 21:54.

At no235, our senior men’s coxless four, aka the Tom+Ali four, had a good battle in the band 2 men’s coxless fours. The genius of coach Tim Male was evident in this carefully orchestrated crew of the Ali’s on BowSide and the Tom’s on Stroke side. Our boys, (from bow) Ally Breeze, Tom Hawkins, Ali Fleming and Tom Fox finished in 20:44 and in 19th place.

Finally, at no.437, our senior womens coxed four competed in the Band 2 Womens coxed fours with Nadia Burrel (cox), Anya R, Valerie Cerasuolo, Jennie Amin, Orla Miller, finishing 12th with a time of 23:00.
