THE CLUBHOUSE

Here at Putney Town Rowing Club, we pride ourselves on being a friendly, welcoming part of the Kew & Mortlake community. 

 Whilst we are first and foremost a rowing club, we are pleased to welcome you and your guests to our boathouse & bar, to enjoy the facilities and wonderful river views.


The club can be hired for funeral receptions on weekdays between 10:00am and 5.30pm.

We also host evening parties and daytime workplace training events.

Our venue is situated on the first floor, currently accessible only by stairs.

The car park adjacent to our club is owned by Richmond council and currently free of charge.
Kew Gardens station and Mortlake station are about 12-15 min walk away. 

food & Drinks

  • All drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) must be purchased from our bar.

  • We don’t provide catering but can lay out platters/cakes if delivered before the service.

  • Collection from M&S Kew Retail Park available (additional charge).

  • External caterers welcome – we can recommend trusted options. The hire fee includes complimentary tea, coffee & cordial, tables & chairs, table linen, plates & crockery for buffet type food.

Hire fees:

  • Up to 30 guests: £300 (bar & balcony area, 1 bar staff)

  • Up to 60 guests: £400 (bar & balcony area, 2 bar staff)

  • Up to 90 guests: £500 (bar & balcony area, 3 bar staff).

For events with more than 90 guests, additional staff costs will apply.

We provide:

  • A sound system throughout the premises (Bluetooth for playlists)

  • A TV in the bar (connect via USB stick or laptop to display pictures)

  • A corded microphone for speeches.

External music providers are also welcome.
