I would like to offer to stand as Chair of PTRC for the coming year, as we look forward to our centenary. Having been on committee in one role or another for the past 13 years, I am immensely proud of the Club, what it stands for, and the potential we have to develop in many different ways. On a personal level, I am involved in the senior rowing side of the club (as a coach) but see it as a real strength of this club that the committee works almost exclusively on matters that affect the positive development of the whole organisation. That is the sign of a strong organisation and culture, and one that I would want to be part of. To be able to act as Chair remains a privilege. This coming centenary year will be an exciting one, with many plans in the pipeline, in terms of rowing, club development and (we hope) socially - and I am keen to play my part.
