Introducing Ed – PTRC’s First Sustainability Officer 🌿

Following our recent announcement for the newly created role of Sustainability Officer, the PTRC Committee is pleased to introduce Ed as the first to take on this exciting position.

Ed brings great enthusiasm for environmental initiatives, and we’re excited to see what’s to come!

A few words from Ed:

'Hi, PTRC, I'm Ed, your new Sustainability Advisor. I joined the Town in the 2024 Learn to Row Course.

I have worked in sustainability and decarbonisation for the last decade, including funding academic research into new technological solutions, briefly as a consultant on emission calculations and now where I lead on the strategy for decarbonising Swindon Borough. There was also a stint in the civil service somewhere.

Decarbonisation will affect us all, and I'm looking forward to working with you all to make a little impact from our great club.'
