We are thrilled to announce that our eagerly anticipated Learn to Row (L2R) course is just around the corner! The excitement starts with trials on the 4th and 5th of September, followed by the full course launch on the 17th of September 2024.
Interest in this year’s course has been tremendous, with nearly 70 enquiries so far, and the numbers are growing daily. With the recent Olympic success of Team GB, the demand for rowing is at an all-time high, and we're expecting a fantastic turnout.
As in previous years, the success of the L2R course depends heavily on our amazing volunteers. To streamline the process, we've created a volunteer sheet for PTRC members, which includes two dedicated tabs for L2R: L2R Open Day and L2R Land/Water. This is your go-to resource for all volunteering opportunities in the coming months.
We have several assistant coaching roles available, and we're looking for volunteers with at least two years of rowing experience. This is a perfect opportunity to hone your skills or even get a taste of coaching. The coaching aspect of L2R will be expertly led and coordinated by Ele Culley, who has kindly agreed to be our lead coach this year. A big thank you to Ele for taking on this important role!

Looking forward to seeing many of you involved in making this year’s L2R course a resounding success!
