Vesta Masters Head 2026 – PTRC Masters Squads

The Vesta Masters Head once again delivered a classic day of Tideway racing, with strong racing, unpredictable conditions, busy boating areas, and a brilliant atmosphere across the river.

PTRC was proudly represented by Masters Men and Masters Women crews racing across multiple categories, with athletes taking on the Championship Course amongst a huge field of masters rowing from across the country.

Conditions throughout the day kept crews on their toes, with the Tideway offering its usual mix of stream, chop, and tactical steering challenges. Despite this, crews produced some excellent rows and competitive performances, with strong commitment shown from the first marshalling point right through to the finish.

The Masters Women squad fielded a range of combinations and continued to show the depth and development within the group. Crews raced hard and supported each other throughout the day, with great energy both on and off the water.

The Masters Men squad also delivered a strong showing, bringing competitive racing and plenty of PTRC spirit to the event. Across the day the squad demonstrated the teamwork and camaraderie that has underpinned the season.

As always, events like Vesta Head rely on huge support behind the scenes. Thank you to:

  • Launch drivers, marshals, and event volunteers

  • Supporters along the towpath and bridges

  • Volunteers that helped make the event fabulous!

Head race season may be wrapping up, but regatta season is just around the corner — and the momentum is building ☀️🚣
